4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving a safe service, where we are required to by law, and where you have given consent (for example, for location access or marketing messages). You may withdraw consent at any time, though some features will not work without it.

5. How we share your information

5.1 Between riders and drivers

To complete a trip, we share your first name, profile photo, rating, pickup and drop-off points, and live location with the matched driver or rider. Full contact details are not shared; in-app calling and messaging are used instead where available.

We share limited data with providers who help us run the Services:

These providers may only use your data to provide services to us.

5.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as is necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting, safety and dispute-resolution obligations. Trip and payment records are generally retained for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. seven years] to meet financial record-keeping requirements. Data no longer required is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights and choices

7.1 Deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time from Settings › Delete Account in either app. Deletion removes your profile and personal data, subject to records we must retain by law (such as completed trip and payment records). You can also request deletion by writing to [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL].

7.2 Other rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, a copy of your data in a portable format, restriction of or objection to certain processing, and withdrawal of consent. Contact us at [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]. We will respond within the period required by law.

7.3 Device permissions

You can change location, notification, camera, photo and contacts permissions at any time in your device settings. Disabling location will prevent you from booking or accepting trips.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit, access controls and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
